A creature of metal and light – half jellyfish, half probe.

The idea behind it
„I wanted to build a creature that is not of this world: a life form made of metal and light, somewhere between a jellyfish, a machine and an artificial intelligence. The lower tentacles are its drive, the upper ones its feelers, and the glass sphere is its brain.“
What you see
A dark, round body rests on a stepped steel base. Curved glass rods grow upwards from it, glass tentacles hang down. In the centre glows a green glass sphere full of air bubbles. Until 2014 the Spacequalle carried a red glass body in this place – then it was given a new brain.
