Zwischen den Welten
Between the Worlds
Six candles around a glass jellyfish – a candelabrum from another galaxy.
The idea behind it
„I wanted to create a being that escapes our idea of life: a glowing jellyfish travelling through space in a small spaceship. Technology doesn't have to be cold – it may also have something ritual about it.“
What you see
Beneath an oval glass dome floats a glass jellyfish with tentacles in blue, pink and white. The dome rests on a stainless-steel platform from which six jointed arms rise. They carry black candles, upright like engines. Candle flame and LED light lay two layers of light on top of each other.
